Are You a Newbie?  Get a Dream Mentor! 

How important it is to enlist a Dream Mentor early on in your Internet Marketing efforts!

I recall fondly the early Winter of 2009 when I started my foray into the world of Internet Marketing.  I was very excited to utilize this powerful medium and knew how many people I could reach out to with my experience in marketing and sales.  If I knew then what I know now, lets just say I’d approach and execute my plans a bit differently!

The number ONE mistake and assumption that newbies to internet marketing make is this, “WOW if that 20 something kid with no whiskers can do it so can I.”  Well any of us experienced and grizzled marketers can relate, it isn’t even remotely that easy!  One of the primary keys to success in this medium is hiring a Dream Mentor or Coach to guide you along.  Wether you are considering this as a full or part time business, treat it as such!  It takes time, a lot of effort and money!

To the point of this post, find your Dream Mentor early on.  This person will guide and help you through all the rough spots (which can happen early and often).  This medium can eat you alive if you let down your guard!  Not only do you have to learn marketing skills, you also have to learn to be a part time computer programmer unless your budget allows you to hire some expert to do ALL the legwork!  This is where your Dream Mentor or Coach can really help you!  I’m not trying to scare anyone off from starting a Internet Marketing Business, rather trying to paint a realistic picture of this medium based on mine and many others experiences.

It’s important to have a dream mentor or coach that can answer your questions about your business, someone who will help you brainstorm ideas, give you instructions and look at things from a perspective you may be ignoring.  So, don’t struggle all alone and instead enlist the knowledge of your dream mentor.  This person will be happy to hold your hand at least initially, until you have momentum and can take yourself the rest of the way.

Pay your dream mentor whatever they charge.  It’s irrelevant as long as they guide you and show you the things that you need to learn.  A good coach is a priceless investment, one that will help you launch your business faster and without too many falls and screw-ups that could possibly overwhelm you, discourage you and derail you completely.  It takes money to make money and part of that money should be invested in a good mentor/coach, it will be part of your marketing budget you will NEVER regret!
