Blogging 102-The Importance Of Commenting On Others Comments
Share Me Here

We all know how important Blog syndication is and getting syndicated is key to your success as a blog marketer. We also know that commenting and receiving comments on our blog posts is a great way to gain favor w/the the major SEO’s like Google and help our articles/posts get higher rankings. We must be careful and not assume that just pasting a generic, boring cookie cutter comment is the way to get it done.
I think its really important to read through or watch the post video and then write a few sentences on what you learned or how you benefited from it. I realize this takes more time than zipping through and using the cookie cutter approach with your comments. I usually learn something I can apply to my network marketing activities and improve on my marketing efforts.
Taking it a step further, too many times we just comment on the content contained in the post which is fine, but if you want to take it to another level consider this, offer ideas and pose questions so that the posts go back and forth between two or more blogs. Take some time to read other peoples comments. If you see a comment that is unique or hits home write a comment on that person’s comment. Now you are creating a “comment conversation” and other commenters will pick up on this and comment themselves about your original comment.
This accomplishes a couple of things. First it adds to a conversation, but more importantly it also gets you noticed by the blog owner or post writer because you are going the extra mile and engaging in conversation instead of posting just to say “notice me, I can actually comment.” Wouldn’t it be great if your blog generated lively conversation? When you give such a gift to another blog owner they will love it and you will have:
- Taken a step toward creating another positive relationship.
- Taken a step toward building two or more positive relationships. One with the blog owner, one with the commenter, and any number of others who will see you as someone who likes to participate and converse.
Imagine how much activity your blog would generate with people visiting because you replied to one of their comments on a blog post. People will be curious and reply to your comment to see who is talking to them. They probably will even leave a comment on one of your posts. If they do this is the perfect time to engage them in conversation by replying to their comments.
So if someone replies to a comment you make on a blog post, make sure you reply back to them! This is the perfect opportunity to continue the conversation and begin relationship building. The blog owner will definitely appreciate your efforts and people will notice you more.
Building a successful blog takes a combination of hard work, time and getting your content syndicated. We must realize that there are a ton of bloggers out there all trying to get their blogs noticed and ranked high on the SEO’s. This is why its important to go the extra mile and separate ourselves from the rest of the pack!
Happy blogging and hopefully you can now go the extra mile with your comments.

Sage advice Jeff! The other benefit I get from taking the time and making the effort to read what other people have to say is – I more often than not learn from others. There’s a tremendous knowledge base out there, just waiting for others to tap into.
Excellent post. I’ve learned something new. Thank you.
